Clothing Free-Cycle Event: Things People Need (not
Thneeds!)
Part of the CHBA “Trail of the Lorax”
Event
Saturday, September 22, 12 to 4:00 PM
8200 Germantown
Avenue (formerly Magarity Ford)
Rain or
Shine!
Due
to the over whelming success and participation of our Book FreeCycling
event at the Garden Fest GRinCH (GreenINChestnutHill) is organizing a
clothing FreeCycle! What a better way to espouse the main idea of Dr
Seuss' book The Lorax than to share things People Need--Not Thneeds!
Let’s
be honest: many of us have a lot of clothing we don't need!! We love
getting our clothes and shoes for cheap ,
but we don't want to be part of the problem of over consumption and its
environmental consequences. FreeCycling is a great solution especially
since many secondhand stores have trouble
keeping up with all of the clothing we discard.
If you
want to free-cycle your clothes, shoes, and accessories, bring your
donation items (clean and in good condition please) to the Chestnut Hill Valley
Green Bank, 23 W. Highland Avenue on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday,
September 19, 20, and 21 between 8 AM and 6 PM.
If you enjoyed book
free-cycling at the Home and Garden Festival, you’ll love this
clothing free-cycle event! Join us between noon and 4 PM on Saturday,
September 22 at 8200 Germantown Avenue (formerly Magarity Ford) –
rain or shine – and help yourself to whatever strikes your
fancy!
We’ll need help sorting and transporting on the day of
the event. If you’d like to volunteer, contact me at
chefamybeth@gmail.com
Thanks in advance to Bowman Properties for
use of the Magarity space and to Valley Green Bank for use of their lobby
space.

Just tried to drop off clothes at the Bank but they wouldn't take them. What to do?
