Weird Waste Day last Saturday was a huge success! Supportive residents from Chestnut Hill, Mt Airy and beyond came with carloads of Electronic Waste to be recycled. GRinCH helped divert over 16,000 pounds of EWaste which will be dismantled responsibly by EForce Compliance a local recycler. Thanks to our new partnership with Norwood Fontbonne Academy we had a smooth drop off process. And thank you to Joan, Brenda, Lana, Zeta, Linda, Lee, Noreen, Alix and our student volunteers!

In the vein of recycling, GRinCH is hosting Chestnut Hill's first FreeCycle event! FreeCycling is passing things on "yard sale style" but everything is free! There will be free books, dvd's and cd's.
It will take place on Eco Alley at the Chestnut Hill Garden Festival on Sunday May 6th. Eco Alley is located on West Highland Ave.

Local contributions of Books, CD's and DVD's (only those three types of items, please) may be dropped off in advance of the event at the Chestnut Hill branch of Valley Green Bank on Thursday or Friday, May 3rd or 4th, between 8am and 6pm or Saturday, May 5th between 9am and 1pm. Valley Green Bank is located at 23 W. High- land Avenue in Chestnut Hill.
